Overview

SA CORPORATE IS ONE OF THE OLDEST ESTABLISHED PROPERTY COMPANIES IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN MARKET. ITS DIVERSE INVESTMENTS SPAN ACROSS INDUSTRIAL, RETAIL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES, PRIMARILY IN THE MAJOR METROPOLITAN CENTRES OF SOUTH AFRICA, WITH A SECONDARY NODE IN ZAMBIA.

In addition, in 2014 SA Corporate invested in the AFHCO Group, an innovative residential focused property company with properties primarily located in Johannesburg’s inner-city. In 2017 the Group also invested, as an extension to its retail portfolio, in a self-storage business that operates primarily in the Group’s and other landlords’ retail shopping centres.

With a portfolio comprising 200 (exclude three Zambian properties held in JV’s, but including nine properties held as bulk for future development) properties covering a total of 1.5 million square metres of lettable space, SA Corporate’s portfolio is independently valued at R17.8 billion.

The Company is listed on the JSE as a diversified REIT and is one of the Sunday Times Business Top 100 Companies in South Africa.

The R15 billion [31 December 2016] portfolio is focused on industrial, retail, inner-city residential and commercial assets, primarily located in the major metropolitan centres of South Africa.

The Company was reconstituted from SA Corporate Real Estate Fund (the Fund), a CISIP (a collective investment scheme in property in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, No 45 of 2002, as amended) to a Corporate REIT, SA Corporate Real Estate Limited, in July 2015. The JSE granted the Fund REIT status with effect from 1 January 2014.
